Everyone who is associated with the AVLRR should be VERY PROUD ! 
Press Release Nova Scotia Snowmobile Club wins National Award.
During the Snowmobile Association of Nova Scotia Annual Spring Meetings it was announced the Annapolis Valley Lake & Ridge Runners have been chosen as the Canadian Council of Snowmobile Organizations Snowmobile Club of the Year, being selected for this very prestigious award over 743 other Canadian clubs. The award will be presented to representatives of the Annapolis Valley Lake and Ridge Runners at the International Snowmobile Congress which is being held later this year in Coreville, Iowa.
Other facts
The Annapolis Valley Lake & Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club was formed in 1990. Our vision is to promote and foster safe snowmobiling as a family winter recreation.
We are one of 21 clubs in Nova Scotia and have approximately 500 kilometres of trails which are constructed and maintained by the club. These trails are groomed with our fleet of five groomers which are operated by volunteers. Our club currently has 131 members and supported by hundreds of land owners who allow us the privilege to use their land in pursuit of our activities.
It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Steven Harper chose this area not only to have his first ride on a snowmobile in February 2009 but to also to announce the National Trails Coalition Fund in the amount of $25,000,000 for all of Canada. This fund has been used to build trails from coast to coast over the past 14 months.
In 2005 the Snowmobilers’ Association of Nova Scotia commissioned an economic assessment study. This study was conducted by Gardner Pinfold and showed that the economic impact of snowmobiling in Nova Scotia was $36,000,000 at that time

SANS AGM, DIR MEETING, And Awards Banquet info under events section.
Closing Dinner and Auction and Dance! Saturday Night was a Sell Out Success.
Everyone enjoyed a great meal, speeches, door prizes, 50/50, Silent Auction and "BEV"S" Live Auction Items.
We made a profit of over $2000 !

Almost 50 sleds met at the Loon Lake parking lot, on the 101 trail were it crosses the Lake Paul Rd. And rode on near 70 MILES of pretty darn good trials. Thanks to everyone who showed up. Special note, The events team made a mistake and did not notice that Corey Burgher had a FLUSH, ( check her out on her first run on Alan's (dad) Indy 500. Everyone noted She is a great rider) Corey you will be recieving a prize package!

Here are some interesting points you may not be aware of.
If you ever find offensive posts please PM Tammy Hines or Andrew Johnson. If the material is pornographic or very offensive please call Andrew at 679-5023 / 542 1999
You can edit your own post at anytime. By clicking on the edit button on the top right of your posted message and edit the copy. If you want to change or add photos etc, click on "Switch to Full Edit Form".
You can spell check your post by typing it first in a program like word perfect and then copy and paste it into the "post screen" Then you can add the color, Emoticons etc.
You can delete a post you make at anytime. By clicking on the "X" on the top right of your posted message. This will not have an effect on any other posts.
Readers can report a post to the moderators of the forum by clicking the blue box in the top right of any post. Reasons might include offensive language, or suggestions, excessive brand bashing, etc.
